Introduction

Over the years I have made many manuals, handbooks and howtos for the use of Computers, It is hard to remember (I have been using computers since the early 1980s), that there are still plenty of Windows and Internet Virgins OUT THERE! Also they are not just young people, but of all ages. Some have had a little experience but completely do not understand the technology or the use and maintenance of computers.

This Howto is an attempt to assist in curing that state of affairs. An attempt to Break your Virginity LOL! Please do some computer basics as suggested in this Howto.

But above all else have fun OUT THERE!
Relax
it is cool OUT THERE!

About the Author

I lived and worked for Post Office/Telecom and then myself on the East Coast, above Gisborne, of the North Island of New Zealand for 29 years.

From 2002 to the present I am working, and living in a Campervan, in the Hamilton/Waikato Region of New Zealand with many trips in the region and the North Island.

I have a life long interest in electronics. I built my first crystal set radio in the 1960s. I got my first computer in the early 1980s.

My interest in Windows and Linux has been for many years now and it is fun, and very interesting. While I am not a programmer I have contributed by doing documentation and providing assistance were I can. It certainly keeps the brain active and it is great that a lot of free open source software is community supported.

Understanding Technology See it is REAL Easy!

The biggest thing about computers, is to give it a go and to try something new.

It is very hard to destroy a computer or the software that drives it during normal use.

As long as you follow a few simply rules and do a bit of house keeping on your Computer you should be fine.
